Iga Valley
It is 1581, in the mountains of Iga, during Japan’s long age of samurai warfare. Local warrior families have defended a degree of independence from the powerful lords surrounding them, becoming known for scouting, infiltration, and surprise attacks — skills later associated with the ninja. Beyond the mountains, Oda Nobunaga is bringing more and more of Japan under his control. Now his armies are coming for Iga.
