The Academy

Outside the city walls, the noise of Athens gives way to the groves of the Academy. Here, Plato meets with students and companions to discuss questions of knowledge, justice, politics, and the nature of reality. There are no classrooms or formal lectures — much of the learning happens through conversation. Among those who will come here is a young Aristotle.
